Who we are
Crest Advisory is a small, vibrant consultancy based in central London – helping clients across the criminal justice sector. We work with central government, national policing bodies, police and crime commissioners, universities, NGOs and private companies, enabling them to achieve greater impact by marrying policy and technical insight with expertise in communications and public affairs. Insightful, savvy and smart, we foster a culture of support and challenge and provide both our clients and each other with the best advice in the business.
Delivering strategic communications advice, research, analysis and policy development, we are a multi disciplinary team who have worked across some of the biggest and most serious issues in the criminal justice arena.
Crest is a great place to work if you are looking for rewarding and important work. We thrive on working together, ensuring our judgement and clarity is never compromised. Together we make things happen and we look after each other too.
What we are looking for
An enthusiastic, bright and capable intern to join us from autumn 2018 – and for the right candidate the potential to stick around for a bit longer. Whether you are a recent graduate, a non graduate or looking for a change, we are looking for someone with a demonstrable interest in criminal justice policy and/or politics but most importantly a thirst for learning on the job. Good research and communications skills are vital, as well as the ability to work as part of a team.
Every day is different, day to day, the job will involve supporting the team on all aspects of the business. Tasks could include; helping the team prepare for a messaging workshop, media monitoring, carrying out a literature review, analysing crime statistics, drafting policy briefings through to administrative tasks to support the general functioning of the office.
What you will get in return
First and foremost you will be part of the Crest team. As well as working alongside communications, policy and insight professionals you’ll be mentored by our analyst team. Our most recent staff survey told us that Crest employees want to work here because of the great people, the drive and thirst for work, and the effort that goes into bringing people together. We are always up for learning more and enjoy celebrating our successes. We work on some of the most serious issues of the day, we enjoy our work and we have fun together along the way.
We will pay London living wage for up to 37.5 hours a week and will seriously consider all requests for flexible / part time working.
How to apply
