Dr Savas Hadjipavlou is joining Crest as an Associate Director and has already been spotting opportunities to improve prisons and probation in 2018. As he says,
“The Justice Select Committee is currently carrying out two inquiries, one on the prison population and its impact on the management of prisons, and the other on probation following up on the outsourcing of supervision of offenders in the community. This provides an opportunity to consider these two major planks of the criminal justice system together, taking a broader view of the changes needed to improve performance, seek better outcomes and make better use of public money. Prisons are under such pressure that they do not currently provide effective rehabilitation environments, and the Grayling probation reforms are not living up to their promise: 2018 is the year for fresh thinking.”
We know Savas will bring some of that fresh thinking to Team Crest and we’re delighted to have him on board!
